strongly inspired by a recent batch of ingredients procured from Dan Riegler at Apothecary Garden, his resins and frankincense products are almost par-none in the world.
with his boswellia papyrifea it lends to osmanthus an incredible “hold”, stability, depth, and lushness. i had never been able to achieve such a beautiful profile before, not even with tennendo’s frankincense.
a permutation of the previously released Kunshi-koh, but in this incense, focussing on the clarity and “blooming” of osmanthus flowers within a stick of incense. it is reminiscent of a lotus blooming, with its luscious creamy white petals tinted with the golden glow of dusk.
